ABOUT
Cathryn began with her dressmaking interest after completion of her NVQ Level 2 Beauty course at Leek Collage School of Art in 2003 where she picked up her qualifications in Make-up artistry working on a variety of clients for various beauty treatments.
In 2007 she completed a course at Leek Collage in a Level 3 National Diploma in Art and Design achieving a triple merit qualification.
Cathryn achieved The Peter Vaughan Memorial Award in Fashion and Design being the only student out of around thirty to receive this for hard work, excellence, commitment and high quality of work.
She then went on to study at The University of Derby for a BA (Hons) Fashion Studies completing her degree in 2011.
In January 2012 Cathryn completed a business course with The Princes Trust charity and she has been working for herself since March 2012 as a dressmaker.
Since October 2015 - November 2019 Cathryn worked along side Grace Bridal Boutique in Leek, Staffordshire as their seamstress doing all bridal and bridesmaid dress alterations. She has also worked along side other bridalwear designers making their visions for them and a Wedding gown for singer Lis Jones, a contestant on The Voice UK.
Cathryn is now also working as a designer and dressmaker from her home studio in Staffordshire by appointment only to offer a completely unique one to one service.
